We're happy to offer 2 types of grants to help you spruce up your space, attract new customers, or move your new or existing business into our downtown districts.

SIGN & FACADE MATCHING GRANT
This grant program has been developed to encourage property and business owners to improve the appearance of Dearborn's commercial and business district. The program is funded and administered by the Dearborn Downtown Development Authority, (DDDA).
​
The Façade & Sign Improvement Plan provides partial reimbursement for downtown Dearborn eligible façade improvements, signage, interior rehabilitation for historical buildings or buildings characterized by the community as historical (50 years or older), sustainable improvements, and new construction to property owners and new or expanding downtown business tenants.

BUSINESS PROMOTION MICRO-GRANT
The DDA offers Business Promotion Micro-Grants up to $500 to support the Downtown business community in the implementation of promotions and
special events that are wholly-designed to benefit the downtown districts and that do not compete with the current DDA events schedule. Business owners, property owners, and members of the community and civic organizations are encouraged to apply.
Each fiscal year, the DDA will allocate funds to the program that will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis to those applicants with proposals that fit the goals of the program. Funds are available beginning on January 1 of each year until the allocation is exhausted.
